It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbie Rijndorp. After a long battle with ill health, Herbie passed away on the morning of Thursday 07.12.2023.

As a founder of RPHC, Herbie orchestrated the return of hockey to Reigate Priory in the season of 1984/85. He has been a regular presence and a huge supporter to the club ever since. A true gent with a great sense of humour, many a story to tell and always a broad smile, he will be very much missed at both the clubhouse and pitch side.

Our deepest sympathy and best wishes go to all his family and loved ones at this sad time.

I know, as a club, we will bid him a full and heart felt farewell.
