Reigate Priory HC extended a warm welcome to new men’s club coach Teague Marcano who started on Wednesday 18th Sept. More than 30 players from 3rd XI to 7th XI attended an enjoyable session with much enthusiasm for the new season.
Teague has only recently returned from the Pan American Men’s Hockey Challenge in Peru where he top scored with 29 tournament goals to ensure that Trinidad & Tobago qualified for the Pan American Cup.
For 2024-25 Teague moved from Southgate HC to play at Holcombe HC following Holcombe team coach Kwan Browne. He opened his premier division goal scoring account for the season in a 5-3 victory over Wimbledon in their first fixture.
Earlier in the year he played in the inaugural Hockey 5s World Cup in Oman helping Trinidad & Tobago to finish eighth of sixteen teams ahead of Australia & Pakistan. The 23-year-old scored 16 goals in just six appearances at that tournament.
Club training for the men’s section takes place from 19:00 to 20:30 on Wednesday evenings at RGS.
