U10 Boys dominate St George's Festival

The U10 boys remain undefeated in winning another festival.

Priory entered two evenly matched teams in the U10 festival at St George’s - a speed hockey event where the 8 minute games were over far too soon.

Priory “A” were undefeated across the four games, winning one and drawing the others. In all three drawn games, they were arguably the better team, but unfortunately the goals didn’t quite come. Sam drove the team forward at every opportunity, scoring one goal, and Jack scored twice. But equally important was the work of the defence: they only conceded one goal across the four games.

Priory “B” were also undefeated, but crucially found the net in all their games. Scoring 6 goals across the games, and conceding none, they won every game. In a fantastic all-round team performance, Mark was an impassable rock in defence, Toby pulled the strings from midfield, and the forwards were impossible to contain: Tom scored 3, Henry 2 and Ollie 1.

With bright sunshine, fantastic support from the parents and both teams working well together, the festival was thoroughly enjoyable. The only disappointment on the day was that the two Priory teams didn’t get a chance to play against each other.

So after 2 festivals the Priory team are undefeated, with a 37-1 goal aggregate...
